For many years, I've dreamed of establishing a home design company; pulling ideas from my extensive global travel during which I immersed myself fully in the local design languages. The humbling experience of accepting and becoming accepted in each new land taught me something my preceding formal education could not: that each local custom carries a unique application of the universal design principles: flow, negative space, and contrast. It is my belief that all humans are born with an innate gift, to know what looks good and what doesn't. It's nearly universal. Somewhere between Hong Kong, France, Denmark, Japan, Sweden, Singapore, Spain, Indonesia, Italy, and countless others, I began to understand why. More importantly, I learned how to apply those respective design languages in concert to create a design that feels like home, no matter where home may be.
